But future uncertain for health-care reform

The bill, by Fort Collins Democrat John Kefalas, sets up a 23-member commission to design a universal health-insurance system.

“This is a radical change to health care in Colorado,” said Rep. Amy Stephens, R-Colorado Springs. “We would be the only state, isolated, unto itself, with a single-payer plan.”    (Read the whole stoy)

At some point the White House is going to need to get serious about a National Health Plan.  A Single Payer Plan offers the best hope to drive down costs and provide REAL healthcare.  Senator Max Baucus seems to suggest the public option is not really needed.   ???    With the lack of healthcare cost standardization and regulations, a Single Payer Plan may be the national healthcare reform’s saving grace.

Please call the Senator and remind him that he is an elected representative of the people, NOT a DC pimp for the insurance and pharma lobbyist, and that Single Payer is on the table!
